Let's Get To Picklin'
This weeks recipe is for those of you that swear by our sandwiches. We've got the recipe for our pickling liquid that can be applied to any thinly sliced vegetable you want! If you want to get like us, stick with the carrots and daikon.
What you'll need:
100g fresh shredded carrots
40g shredded daikon (white radish)
6 teaspoons Distilled White Vinegar
3.5 teaspoons Sugar
0.25 teaspoons Salt
10 teaspoons Water
1 Mix vinegar, sugar, and water with a pinch of salt. Stir until sugar is dissolved. This process is easier if the mixture is heated.
2 Once dissolved, add carrots and daikon and cover them completely in liquid. The heated mixture will pickle the vegetables faster, but it is possible they will be less crisp in texture.
If the mixture if kept at room temperature, the pickling process will take a couple of hours
