Now that the weather is finally climbing into the fifties and sixties every day, we’ve introduced new spring menu items to our restaurant locations! Currently, you can find these dishes at our restaurant locations during the week for dinner 5 to 8pm, and all day on weekends. Keep an eye on our Twitter for updates about where and when to find these tasty treats.
The classic and simplistic Japanese dish, ramen, takes on a Bon Me spin. Chef, owner and founder, Ali Fong, was inspired by her lifelong love of ramen. Ali wanted to add ramen to our menu after chatting about a western comedy movie, Tampopo. In the movie, a truck driver happens upon a road-side noodle shop and decides to help out the small family-run restaurant. The movie focuses on the intermingling of love and food.
Our ramen is made with love! It starts with our house-made miso pork broth and is loaded with silky smooth ramen noodles, a soft boiled egg, roasted asparagus, our signature Chinese BBQ pork, and topped with freshly chopped green scallions and Thai chili oil. With deep, bold flavors and a variety of textures, it’s a hearty meal that will leave you satisfied.
While not entirely traditional, we incorporate seasonal ingredients, like asparagus, to keep the dish bold, fresh and fun!
Cilantro Pesto Soba Salad
The newest addition to the spring menu is our cilantro pesto soba salad. Freshly made cilantro pesto and chilled soba noodles come together in this light and refreshing noodle salad. We make our cilantro pesto from scratch with a ton of fresh cilantro,chickpeas, and miso paste in lieu of parmesan cheese. This means that our pesto is vegan-friendly! The noodles are topped with soy-roasted chickpeas, roasted asparagus and a soft boiled egg. This dish can only be found at our Kendall Square location.
